Linganore Poms

FALL SEASON 2024

The LOUYAA Linganore Pom & Dance program is designed for children, K through 8th grade, to learn and perform choreography for halftime performances at LOUYAA Linganore youth football games.
Our program aims to build confidence through dance, and to foster a positive atmosphere of friendship and teamwork.
Dancing is not only about the ability to perform a routine.  It is also about working hard as an individual and in a group. Working in a group may look simple from the outside, but it takes a lot of practice and coordination to perform as one. Our participants learn to work together, as a team, so on gameday, they can apply the skills and techniques they’ve learned at practice.

Some of the things your daughter can learn or develop by participating on a dance squad:
•      Strong character
•      Understanding of the benefits of hard work
•      Focus on fitness
•      Self confidence
•      Social skills
No try-outs required.  Our only requirement is a commitment to participate at practices and performances.

FALL 2024 MANDATORY APPAREL- $120 added to registration fee
Once again, we will be requiring families to purchase some necessary Lancer Poms branded items, as part of their registration.  These items will be worn throughout the season and are yours to keep. This year’s branded apparel will include lightweight rain jacket, 2024 performance shorts, personalized 2024 Lancer Poms Jersey (new design) and a personalized 2024 Lancer Poms Hooded Sweatshirt (new design).  *Both the 2023 jersey and Peace Love Poms sweatshirt will continue to be available for purchase.

NEW THIS YEAR
Because our program has grown so much in the past few years, we will be changing the way we handle our summer 2024 programming. This year, we will not be holding our traditional summer camp, instead we will be holding a preseason clinic, which will be open to all registrants for the fall 2024 season. Sign-ups for general registration will only be open if there are spots available.

For 2024, we are organizing the fall season into three parts; Preseason, Season and Postseason.

After you’ve completed registration for the Fall 2024 season, you will receive an invitation to register for the 2024 Preseason Clinic, which will include additional information regarding fees and details.
